Vice President of Pharmacology
(Location: Beijing)
Responsibilities:
Manage and expand pharmacology department at BioDuro; supervise pharmacological studies; evaluate resource needs, estimate costs and create study designs; implement and deliver results for client projects and manage client interactions; and work with the senior management team on company strategies. This position will also entail regulatory documentation and compliance.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. and/or M.D. in pharmacology or related discipline
- Special emphasis on a relevant therapeutic area (i.e., oncology, inflammation, metabolic diseases, etc.) is highly desired
- More than 15 years of relevant industry experience with 10 or more years in management
- Strategic thinker and able to build and manage a fast-growing business
- High-energy, team-oriented individual who possess the ability to work well under pressure
- Must be highly organized and thorough, independently motivated and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Director of Pharmacology
(Location: Beijing)
Key activities: Manage a team of pharmacologists; provide pharmacological study support for all projects; work with colleagues in the U.S. to evaluate resource needs, estimate costs and design; and implement and deliver results for client projects. This will also entail regulatory documentation and compliance.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. or M.D. in pharmacology
- More than 10 years of relevant industry experience
- Deep understanding of PK, PD and ADME areas including experimental design, analysis and regulatory compliance
- Strategic thinker able to build and manage a fast-growing business
- High-energy, team-oriented individual who possess the ability to work well under pressure
- Must also be highly organized and thorough, independently motivated and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Director of DMPK
(Location: Beijing)
Responsibilities:
- Work independently and design/direct animal studies, bioanalysis and in vitro ADME assays
- Provide intellectual input and practical training for scientists in the group
- Serve as DMPK representative in integrated project team
- Prepare thoroughly researched proposals/reports and communicate with clients for new studies
- Provide intellectual input on PK studies and bioanalysis to the team
- Prioritize PK studies and bioanalysis and set study plans for the project
- Solve difficult problems in daily operation and implement new directions
- Serve as a DMPK representative for integrated projects and set strategies and priorities for DMPK screening
- Comply with company policies and SOPs
- Commit to data integrity and quality
Requirements:
- Ph.D. degree with more than 10 years related working experience or master/bachelor with more than 20 years of related working experience in U.S. pharmaceutical/biotech companies
- Extensive program management experience and served as DMPK representatives on projects from various disease areas
- Excellent communication skills and able to lead discussion with clients and prepare IND-enabling study reports
- Lead/direct a team of team leaders/group leaders to conduct PK studies, bioanalysis and in vitro ADME assays
Senior Director/Director of Oncology
- Ph.D. in molecular and cellular biology, pharmacology, or other biomedical field with more than 10 years of experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical companies
- Deep knowledge and understanding of oncology-relevant pathways and mechanisms and familiar with current frontiers in oncology research and drug discovery landscape
- Strong track record in leading oncology drug discovery projects ranging from target identification, target validation, lead optimization to preclinical candidate selection
- Experienced supervisor in managing Ph.D. and non-Ph.D. scientists
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence/inspire direct reports, peers and superiors
Group Leader of DMPK (Preformulation/Formulation)
(Location: Beijing)
Key activities: Provide formulation support for DMPK studies; explore and identify suitable pharmaceutical formulations for various routes of administration in preclinical studies as well as planning and execution of studies to assess physicochemical properties of research compounds.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in pharmaceutical science or a related area
- 2-5 years of relevant industry experience
- Successful track record in preformulation and/or formulation while operating within aggressive timelines
- Hands-on operational manager with strong written and oral communication skills
- Flexible and innovative problem solver
Associate Director, Bioanalytical
(Location: Beijing)
Responsibilities:
- Work with PPD’s bioanalytical labs to set up a GLP bioanalytical lab at BioDuro in Beijing
- Manage daily projects and resource operation of the BioDuro GLP bioanalytical lab to meet clients’ expectations
- Provide training and technical guidance to fellow scientists
- Implement PPD’s bioanalytical procedures and processes at BioDuro
- Troubleshoot bioanalytical issues
- Interact with clients
Requirements:
- A master’s degree or a Ph.D. (preferable) in analytical chemistry/bioanalytical
- More than six years of working experience in a GLP bioanalytical lab, preferable in the United States
- Significant experience in bioanalytical method development using various LC/MS/MS platforms
- Extensive experience in bioanalytical method validation and sample analysis according to FDA guidelines
- Deep knowledge of LC/MS/MS instrumentation
- Extensive project management experience
- Fluent in both Chinese and English
- Good communication skills
Scientist
(Location: Beijing)
Responsibilities:
- Help study director/group leader design protocols and carry out experiments related to drug absorption, distribution and clearance processes
- Work with others to finish DMPK projects including such techniques as catheterization and sampling of tissues and fluids
- Prepare and write forms, study records and documents
- Develop new experiment method according to client requirement
Requirements:
- At least a bachelor’s degree in biology, medicine or a related field
- Good Chinese and English communication skills
- Ability to interact with others effectively
- At least one year of working experience in the CRO industry required
- Compliance with SOPs, protocols and IACUC regulations
Bioanalytical Scientist
(Location: Beijing)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct sample analysis for PK samples and other ADME samples using LC/MS/MS method development
- Conduct in vitro ADME assays
- Perform PK parameter calculation using WinNonlin software and prepare study reports
- Peer review other scientists’ data
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, pharmaceutical science or pharmacology
- 0-1 year of experience
