Scientist/Senior Scientist in Electrophysiology
(Location: Beijing)
The successful candidate will join our research efforts to develop and understand the electrophysiological actions of ion channel inhibitors. He/she is responsible for screening compounds against heterologously expressed or native ion channel targets (e.g. hERG) from excitable cells (e.g., cardiac, HEK293) using patch-clamp techniques. In addition to patch-clamp electrophysiology assays and research, he/she is responsible for maintaining cell cultures, method development, data analysis and presentation, as well as writing technical reports and original manuscripts.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in physiology, biophysics or pharmacology with ion channel research experience, or a master’s degree with in-depth electrophysiology experience
- Patch-clamp methodology and primary cell culture experience is required
- Automated patch-clamp system experience is preferred
- Experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical company is beneficial but not required
- Knowledge of common laboratory instruments, general lab procedures and software used for electrophysiological experiments is required
